 Lord Rama is one of the most revered deities in Hinduism and is considered the seventh incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu. He is the central figure of the ancient Indian epic Ramayana, written by the sage Valmiki.

- Early Life

- Lord Rama was born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya.

- He was the eldest of four brothers: Rama, Bharata, Lakshmana, and Shatrughna.

- Rama is regarded as the ideal son, brother, husband, and king.

- Marriage to Sita

- Rama married Sita, the daughter of King Janaka of Mithila.

- He won her hand in marriage by lifting and breaking Lord Shiva's divine bow during a swayamvara ceremony.

- Exile -

- Due to a promise made by King Dasharatha to Queen Kaikeyi, Rama was sent into exile for 14 years.

- Sita and his devoted brother Lakshmana accompanied him into the forest.

- Battle with Ravana -

- During the exile, the demon king Ravana abducted Sita and took her to Lanka.

- Rama formed an alliance with Hanuman, Sugriva, and the Vanara army.

- After a great battle, Rama defeated Ravana and rescued Sita, symbolizing the victory of good over evil.

- Return to Ayodhya -

- After completing the exile, Rama returned to Ayodhya and was crowned king.

- His rule, known as Rama Rajya, is remembered as a period of peace, justice, prosperity, and righteousness.

Lord Rama is worshipped as the embodiment of virtue and moral values. His life teaches the importance of honesty, devotion, duty, and perseverance. The festival of Diwali celebrates Rama's return to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana and completing his exile.
