       તિરાડો ઝડપથી વધી રહી છે, ભૂસ્ખલનથી પ્રભાવિત મકાનોની સંખ્યા 603 પર પહોંચી.જેપી કોલોનીમાં તોડી પાડવામાં આવનાર મકાનોનો ટેકનિકલ સર્વે શરૂ ઉત્તરાખંડના જોશીમઠમાં કટોકટી વધુ ઘેરી બનતાં ચમોલી જિલ્લા વહીવટીતંત્રે મંગળવારે જેપી કોલોનીમાં આવેલી ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત ઈમારતોનું ડિમોલિશન કવાયત માટે ટેકનિકલ સર્વે શરૂ કર્યો હતો.  જોશીમઠના સૌથી વધુ અસરગ્રસ્ત મારવાડી વિસ્તારમાં આવેલી વસાહતમાં મોટાભાગના ઘરો એક માળની ઇમારતો છે જેમાં ટીન શીટની છત છે.

As the crisis in subsidence-hit Joshimath in Uttarakhand deepens, the Chamoli district administration on Tuesday began a technical survey of the damaged buildings situated in JP Colony for the demolition exercise. A majority of houses in the colony, which is located in one of the worst-hit Marwari area of Joshimath, are single-storey buildings with roofs made of tin sheets.

Joshimath History

Joshimath was ruled by Katyuri Kings from 7th to 11th century. The Katyuri Kings' capital was Katyuri which now situated in Kumaon as Baijnath Valley. They were the followers of Buddhism but later on, they converted to Hinduism and consider themselves as Brahmins and followed the same practice.

જોશીમઠ નો ઈતિહાસ 

જોશીમઠ પર 7મીથી 11મી સદી સુધી કટ્યુરી રાજાઓનું શાસન હતું. કટ્યુરી રાજાઓની રાજધાની કટ્યુરી હતી જે હવે કુમાઉમાં બૈજનાથ ખીણ તરીકે સ્થિત છે. તેઓ બૌદ્ધ ધર્મના અનુયાયીઓ હતા પરંતુ પછીથી, તેઓ હિન્દુ ધર્મમાં રૂપાંતરિત થયા અને પોતાને બ્રાહ્મણો માને અને તે જ પ્રથાને અનુસર્યા.
